Welcome 2 my blog xD

Hey!! I bid you all a very warm welcome to my blog. Food blog. YAY!!
Okay, so I've been wanting to do this for a while now... so I have some recipes lining up to be posted. So expect frequent postings.
Also, since I am a rookie in this whole food deal, expect, failures...alot but also expect wonderful random moments of enlightment and deliciousness n.n and so enough with this yadda yadda already!! Let's get down to business.
Okay! The first recipe I'm going to share with ya'll is a recipe that's as messy as it is delicious, that is weird as it is satisfying an unbelievably yummy almost veggie burger n.n
I am calling it...

The Almost Veggie Burger
(That's so unearthly delicious you'll forget all about regular burgers)

< look at that GORGEOUS huh??
Right, so for The Almost Veggie Burger you're going to need...

  • One (yuck!!) ball of ground beef (osease carne molida)

  •  An onion quarter, finely chopped

  • One clove of garlic

  • An apple, chopped

  • A carrot, chopped

  • One egg

  • Half a cup of breadcrumbs

  • One lettuce, finely chopped

  • Two tomatoes, finely chopped

  • Ketchup

  • Mustard

  • Salt & Pepper

  • Aaand burger buns obviously...
How to do it...

  1. Okay first, you put the apple, carrot, half of the onion into the blender (or if you're one of those fancy people that own a food processor...) and mix.

  2. Now in a large bowl, we are going to pour the mix we've just made and add the ball of ground beef, and mix slightly (it wont come together perfectly which is why we're going to add add...) THE EGG & BREADCRUMBS. Once we you've added the egg and the breadcrumbs mix with a rubber spatula until you get something like this:
and let it settle for 1 minute.

  3. Meanwhile, we are going to make what I call "El Preparado". In another bowl, we are going to place the lettuce and the tomatoe and the other half of the onion, like so:  then, we'll add the ketchup, mustard, pepper & salt and we'll mix until it ends up looking like this: Set aside.

  4. Now, in a skillet pour two tablespoons of olive oil (or whatever oil you are particularly fond of) and wait for it to heat up. Meanwhile, get the beef mixture and create the patties (YES! with your hands, so be sure to wash them!!) once the patties are down, and the skillet hot enough, place the patties and cook 'em!!! Around 2 minutes on each side... or as much as you want (I like them slightly burned)

  5. When the patties are done, place them on the buns and add as much of El Preparado as you like. And well... eat! (I like the bun warm and crunchy so I normally heat it up in another skillet)
It really is yummy, give it a try and well leave me a comment... let me know what you think n.n
